of a silver land
we sail past a stream black river
Winds from the sea
brush the coast
a new flag waving
Nature´s bequest
and my avid will to test
have taken us to this
strange foreign ground

A bounded army
by the red banks
warding a long illusive line
an oblivious kind
arid as the land
they keep fighting for
A general leads
Dictatorial breed
a specimen that thrives

Indians afar
raid for their lives
natives of this soil
as the thorn bearing bush
that grows outside this camp

Species will clash
Nature adapts
Strongest endure
Weakest decline

Daybreak on the horizon
A horseback mount I ask for
my trip continues

Vast plain ahead
barren wild pearl
deserts I see
fossils from long ago
scattered and torn
puzzle of sorts
Science will help me break!
