in your fluid grasp

Fins growing fast
gills shaking gasp
scaled coat won't last

Cozy watery garden
diving in your liquid arms
Feeling as I rise
the heat and surface light
and now...

Dryness and breeze
Harshness or Bliss
Fins turn to claws
Membranes to paws
Weight on the ground
tempting new stand

Air fills my lungs
hastens the blood
Head to the sun
school of the land

Shades of green
bind this waterless sea
species clash and perish
and Im here trying
to set my way

Where's my place in this tumultuous Earth?
Will I thrive or break down?

prevail in this frail world?
